Unitech is proud to announce the award of three new projects over the past few weeks including the following:

North Delta Recreation Centre, The Corporation of Delta, Delta BC

Construction Management for the 27,000 sq ft expansion to the North Delta Recreation Centre to add a new full sized gymnasium / assembly space with a multi functional stage, new meeting and social gathering spaces, a 3,500 sq ft fitness centre, a new Cafe, area for art sales and a 3,250 sq ft North Delta Municipal Business Centre with a back up data room. The project also includes the relocation of the outdoor pool change rooms, staff facilities and mechanical room to become a part of the main building as well as extensive renovations and site redevelopment to the current facility all built to a LEED Silver standard.

Babine School Addition, School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes), Granisle, BC

Construction Management for the select demolition of sections of the old school to be replaced with prefabricated modular facilities.  Remaining portions of the old school will be renovated including the main entrance and administration area, the library and staff room and the gymnasium ancillary space.  Electrical, Mechanical and Exterior Envelope upgrades will be included in the project as well.

Sylvis Environmental Head Office, Sylvis Environmental, New Westminster, BC

Construction Management for a quality 2 ½ floor retail and commercial building above a half level of at grade parking on the site at 435 Seventh Street in New Westminster, BC.

Unitech is proud to announce that we have recently been awarded and will soon be starting construction on the Burke Mountain Fire Station, a 2 level 17,500 square foot (1,620 m2) fire station consisting of 4 truck apparatus bays, crew dorms, fitness, training, activity lounge, kitchen and dining, hose tower and community meeting room for the City of Coquitlam.

South Delta Secondary School Seismic Upgrade

Construction Management for the complete seismic upgrade of three blocks of the South Delta Secondary School including a two storey classroom, Science, Library block, a single storey classroom, art and administration wing and the shops wing all originally built in 1973, as well as a complete renovation of the science wing and non structural seismic upgrade to the entire school.

Aberdeen Elementary School Seismic Upgrade

Seismic upgrading of the original school built in 1955, as well as the 1968 and 1977 additions, totaling 1,291 M2, of a one and two storey steel/ wood frame, concrete block school c/w with associated renovations as described in the December 2012 Project Definition Report by CHPA.

Unitech has recently been awarded and will soon be starting construction on the following projects

Deep Cove Seismic Upgrade, School District #36, Saanich, BC

Construction Management for the seismic upgrade of two blocks of a single storey school undertaken in two phases including the initial phase, the seismic upgrade of a two classroom wood framed block of the school followed by the second stage, a three classroom plus special education office area within a concrete block, steel framed addition.  Non structural attachments including bracing fixtures, lights, and piping will be completed throughout the school.

Delta School District as Required PM/CM, School District #37, Delta, B C

Assist the Delta School District’s Facilities Branch with the implementation of the $3 – 5 million Facilities Renewal and Upgrade Program, consisting of facility upgrades, renewals and renovations on an as and when required basis for projects ranging in value from $5,000 to $2,000,000.
