Mental Health Mindfulness: Depression & Suicide

December is a month full of holiday cheer and spirit, but not for everyone. The stress of holidays can trigger depression for many people, so for this month’s Mental Health Mindfulness topic we will be raising awareness for Depression & Suicide.

Depressive illnesses can distort your thinking, causing feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. Often times, these symptoms become overwhelming and debilitating for the individual.
The chemical imbalance and deep emotional pain can lead the brain to try and find ways to end the pain – this is when suicidal thinking begins.
