One of our educational clients, Kim Milburn from School District No 63 in Saanich BC, recently wrote an article promoting the Construction Management procurement method and how it differs from the more standard General Contractor Stipulated Sum and Design Build procurement methods. Kim notes in his article, that the last three “New Build” projects that the school district completed were all done through the Pure Construction Management Procurement Method, including the $25 million Royal Oak Middle School, detailed below, which Unitech successfully completed with the district back in 2008. In addition to Royal Oak Middle School, Unitech has completed 3 seismic upgrade projects as well as the Parkland Secondary School Fire Remediation project for the Saanich School District. It is a great promotion for the Pure Construction Management procurement method, Unitech’s one and only construction service.
