Mental Health Mindfulness: Depression & Suicide

December is a month full of holiday cheer and spirit, but not for everyone. The stress of holidays can trigger depression for many people, so for this month’s Mental Health Mindfulness topic we will be raising awareness for Depression & Suicide.

21-12-06 - Depression

Depressive illnesses can distort your thinking, causing feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. Often times, these symptoms become overwhelming and debilitating for the individual.
The chemical imbalance and deep emotional pain can lead the brain to try and find ways to end the pain – this is when suicidal thinking begins.

Virtual Moonlight Gala

“At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” ― Denzel Washington

At Unitech, we take pride in our ability to give back to our community! We are always overwhelmed with jubilation and delight when we get to help out our local Delta Hospital and look forward to continuing giving back to our wonderful community.
