Work is underway at the $50 Million Abbotsford Collegiate Secondary School which involves construction of a replacement school adjacent to the existing secondary school.  The seismic upgrade to the existing gymnasium, which will remain after construction is complete, was completed in early January in time for the 51^st annual Snowball Classic Basketball tournament, and construction is now gearing up for the new facility.  When complete it will not only be home to 1100 Abbotsford students, but also a full use Public Library, multiple gymnasiums and many other public use amenities.
